Musical Musings Solo Show

Artists have been inspired by music for centuries. Musical Musings is a collection of photographs that are representative of musical instruments. The majority of the photos are of instruments in the Boston Museum of fine Arts Collection. However, the photographs have been manipulated to look more like paintings than photos. The application of colors, textures and light transform the sterile museum environment to invoke an emotional if not spiritual response from the viewer.

The group of eleven images was shown during March at the Half Moon-Clifton Park Library through the Saratoga Arts Art in Public Spaces Program. Currently it is at the Community Room of the Greenwich Free Library, Greenwich, NY. An artist talk will be given by Judith Ellers on Thursday, April 25, at 6:30pm.
